Description
BMW R 1250 GS Adventure Skid Plate
Riding your 2019-2023 R 1250 GS Adventure means hitting terrain that'll test your bike's undercarriage. Rocks, logs, and rough ground can do real damage to your frame and vital components if nothing's in the way. That's what this Ricochet skid plate is for — it sits between your bike and the ground, taking the hits so your engine and frame don't have to.
What You Get
The plate is made from 5052 H32 aircraft-grade aluminum, 0.160 inches thick. It covers the areas that need it most. Installation uses a set of custom-built hardware — Chromoly brackets that are more than twice as tough as regular steel. Best part? No drilling required. Everything bolts on with the brackets Ricochet designed specifically for this bike, so you're not modifying anything. Most guys get it installed in under an hour.
Protection and Finish
The skid plate comes standard with a clear anodized coating that keeps the aluminum from corroding and gives it some extra durability. The whole thing is built here in the USA and made to handle years of serious off-road use without rattling loose or falling apart.
Black Powder Coat Option
Want a tougher, darker look? You can add a black powder coat finish for extra protection against weathering. If you go this route, add an extra 1-2 weeks to your ship time since we apply it after you order. You can also skip the powder coat and do your own finish work if you prefer — the surface comes ready for that.
