Can-Am Commander Cab Heater

How It Works

The unit mounts under the passenger side dash and uses your engine's heat to warm the cab, just like the heater in a regular car. You get two vents built into the unit itself, plus two separate defrost vents with hoses that route through the dash. The defrost lines keep snow and ice off your windshield while you drive, and they're tucked in so they look factory-installed. You control the fan speed and temperature right from your seat.

Built to Last Through Anything

The radiator hoses in this system are heavy-duty industrial grade and rated to handle temperatures from -40°F all the way to 285°F. That means whether it's brutally cold outside or your engine is running hot, the heater and all its components will keep working without issues.

Two Ways to Get Heat Faster

You've got options here. A quick-start flow valve cuts the warm-up time in half by sending all the coolant straight to your heater core when the engine is cold. Once the engine warms up, the valve automatically shifts to feed the radiator too. Or go with an idle flow pump instead—it actively circulates coolant even when you're sitting still or creeping along, getting hot air flowing in about 30 seconds. Want maximum heat as fast as possible? You can run both together.

Installation

Everything you need comes in the box: hoses, drill bits, and Commander-specific mounting plates. The wiring uses your machine's existing key-on terminals and busbar, so you're not dealing with complex electrical work. It's a straightforward install that doesn't require special tools or expertise.
