Can-Am Defender HD8 RackBoss 2.0 Rack and Pinion

Your stock steering rack on a Can-Am Defender takes a beating, and when it starts to feel sloppy, you've got a real problem on your hands. This RackBoss 2.0 Rack and Pinion is built to fix that. It cuts steering play and wear down by more than half compared to what you're running now, so your machine stays tight and responsive even after years of hard use.

The difference is in the design. SuperATV built this with dual PTFE bushings at both ends of the rack—that's what keeps things from wearing out fast. Instead of letting play develop like a worn stock setup, you get consistent steering that actually lasts. Grease fittings are built in too, so you can clean out mud and grit whenever you need to. The rack handles bigger tires and harder hits without any loose, wandering feel.

You get two choices here. The swaged steel tube option gives you a lighter setup with 7/8" diameter tubing and comes with 14 mm inner ball and sockets and 14 mm outer tie rod ends. If you're running huge rubber or just want maximum strength, go with the solid steel bar tie rods—they're 1" diameter with 3/4" outer tie rods and 16 mm rack threads, plus rebuildable inner tie rods that use 3/4" rod threads.

Both versions come with the X24 dual-bushing rack, steering stop kit, inner boots, misalignment bushings, tie rod studs, and all the hardware you need. Everything bolts right in—no guessing about what you're missing.
