Material Choices
You've got two options here. Go with straight 3/16" aluminum for solid protection that's straightforward and reliable. Or step up to 3/16" aluminum backed by 1/4" UHMW plastic on the hitting surface — that extra layer absorbs more of the punishment and keeps things quieter when you're bouncing over rough ground.
Black Powder Coat (Optional)
If you want them blacked out instead of the bare look, add the powder coat finish for $50 extra. Just know that if you pick powder coat, tack on another 1-2 weeks before they ship out.
