Rocks, logs, stumps, and rough terrain can tear up the bottom of your bike fast — this plate sits underneath and absorbs all that punishment so your engine and frame don't have to.
What You Get
The kit includes the aluminum skid plate itself plus all the hardware you need to bolt it on. No drilling, no tapping into your frame — it mounts using a heavy-duty bracket system that's already figured out. Installation is straightforward and takes less time than you'd think.
How It's Built
Ricochet made this from 5052 H32 aircraft-grade aluminum, the same stuff used in planes. It's .160 inch thick, which means it's solid enough to handle real abuse without denting easily. Out of the box, it comes with a clear anodize coating that adds another layer of corrosion protection — good stuff for keeping rust away.
Finish Options
You've got two ways to go. First option: order it as-is with the clear anodize already on it, and it ships right out. Second option: add a black powder coat finish for a tougher look and extra durability. If you pick the black powder coat, add another 1-2 weeks to your delivery time. The unpainted aluminum also comes ready if you want to powder coat it yourself down the road.
