How It's Built
The plate itself is 5052 H32 aircraft-grade aluminum, 0.160 inches thick. That's solid material that'll hold up to real abuse. The mounting brackets are Chromoly steel—more than twice as strong as regular steel—so everything stays tight and won't rattle. We use custom fasteners designed to stay put and come off easy when you need to service your bike.
Finish Options
Your skid plate comes standard with a clear anodized finish that protects against rust and corrosion. If you want something different, you can add a durable black powder coat for an extra $45—but plan on an extra 1-2 weeks for that to ship. You can also have the plate prepped and ready if you want to powder coat it yourself.
