The materials
The plate itself is 5052 H32 aircraft-grade aluminum, 0.160 inches thick, with a clear anodized finish right out of the box for corrosion resistance. The mounting brackets are chromoly steel — that's more than twice as strong as regular steel — so everything stays locked down tight and won't rattle loose.
