If you ride a Honda CRF450L from 2019 to 2024, this Ricochet skid plate is built to keep your engine and undercarriage safe from rocks, logs, stumps, and all the stuff you'll hit out there. It bolts right on without any drilling, and the whole thing is made from tough aluminum that actually means something—not thin stuff that dents on first contact.

What You're Getting

The skid plate itself is made from 5052 H32 aircraft-grade aluminum, .160 inch thick. It comes with the mounting hardware you need—heavy-duty brackets that bolt straight to your bike with no modifications required. Everything ships ready to bolt on.

The Finish

Your skid arrives with a clear anodize coating that protects the aluminum from corrosion. That's the standard setup.

If you want something that looks more finished, you can add a black powder coat. This is a factory application, not something you do at home—it adds about 1 to 2 weeks to your ship time since we apply it after your order comes in. It's solid black and tougher than the clear anodize finish.

Or, if you want to powder coat it yourself, we'll prep the surface for you at no extra charge—just order it without the powder coat option and you'll get a ready-to-coat aluminum surface.
