Description
When you're out on the trail, your windshield takes a beating from branches, rocks, and whatever else gets kicked up. A flip windshield lets you control exactly how much protection you get, depending on what you're doing and what the weather's throwing at you. You can run it fully closed to block wind and spray, crack it open to vent some air while staying shielded, or flip it halfway down when you want maximum airflow.
How It Works
This windshield uses a multi-stage latch system so you can lock it in at full, vented, or half positions. Strong gas struts handle all the heavy lifting—you can open and close it right from your seat without any struggle. The latch mechanism stays tight through rough ground and won't rattle or creep open on you.
What You're Getting
The windshield comes pre-assembled and ready to bolt on. You get a foam gasket and bulb seal that create a solid closure when you shut it down—no wind whistling through. Metal clamps and a cross-brace keep everything locked in place with zero flex. The gas struts prevent sudden drops or bouncing, and the fast-latch secures the whole assembly.
Material & Durability
SuperATV builds these from polycarbonate because it actually holds up. The material is about 250 times tougher than glass and resists getting gouged up from branches, road debris, and rooster tails. Both sides have a hard coating that SuperATV calls their XR Optic finish. This coating fights scratches and UV damage—no sun spots, yellowing, or fading even after long days outdoors.
Flip vs. Full Windshields
Flip Style: Closes for full protection, opens for an open-air feel. Switch between modes in seconds as conditions change. Slightly heavier with more moving parts to check on.
Vented Full Style: Stays put and provides steady protection with built-in vent slots. Simpler design means fewer moving pieces. Works with wipers and stays solid at speed, but doesn't give you as much total airflow as a flip.
Pick flip if you want the most flexibility. Pick vented full if you want something straightforward and reliable.
