Honda Talon 1000R RackBoss 2.0 Rack and Pinion

Your Honda Talon's steering rack takes a beating. After enough hard riding—especially with bigger tires and heavier gear—play develops in the stock unit, and your steering feel goes mushy. The RackBoss 2.0 fixes that problem with a completely redesigned rack and pinion assembly built to handle the punishment.

How It Stays Tight
The key is SuperATV's X24 dual-bushing design. Instead of a single bushing, you get heavy-duty PTFE bushings at both ends of the rack. This cuts internal slop by more than half compared to the original RackBoss. The result? Your steering stays responsive even when you're running aggressive rubber and hammering rough terrain. A grease zerk is built in so you can keep everything running smooth with basic maintenance.

Your Choice of Tie Rods
You get two options here. The first uses swaged steel tubes—the ends are flared out for extra strength while keeping weight down. The second goes full-solid with a 1-inch steel bar and chromoly tie rod ends. Both designs use beefier threads than stock (16 mm on the rack side), and the solid steel version steps up to 3/4-inch rod threads. Either way, the tie rod ends are way stronger than what Honda shipped, hitting the weak spot in stock setups.

What You're Getting
Both versions come with inner boots to keep dirt out, a steering stop kit, misalignment bushings, and all the hardware and studs you need. Everything bolts together without extra modifications.

Fitment
Fits Honda Talon 1000R (2019+) and Honda Talon 1000R-4 (2023+). Replaces OEM part numbers 53840-HL6-A51 and 53840-HL6-A11. Not compatible with the SuperATV 8-inch lift kit or models equipped with Live Valve Shocks.
