Material choices
Two ways to go here. The straight aluminum version uses 3/16" 5052-H32 ā tough stuff that won't rust on you and takes a beating just fine. If you run really gnarly terrain and want extra cushion against hard hits, step up to the aluminum with 1/4" UHMW layer bolted on. That poly layer soaks up impact energy better when things get hairy.
Black powder coat option
Want it black instead of bare? Add a black powder coat finish for $25. Just know that if you go this route, tack on another 1-2 weeks before it ships out.
