That's what this skid plate does—it sits underneath and takes all those hits so your bike doesn't have to. Installation is straightforward, and you're getting solid American-made hardware that bolts right on without any drilling.
What You're Getting
The skid plate comes as one piece made from 5052 H32 aircraft-grade aluminum, .160 inch thick. You'll also get the mounting brackets and all the hardware you need—no trips to the hardware store. Everything fits XR250R models from 1986 through 2004, though the year range affects which SKU you need.
Installation & Build
No drilling or tapping required. The brackets mount up using the hardware we include, so the whole job is quick and easy. The aluminum arrives with a clear anodize finish that protects the metal from corrosion right out of the box.
Finish Options
The plate ships standard with clear anodize. If you want a black powder coat finish instead, we can do that for you—add that option and expect an extra 1–2 weeks on your ship time. Or, if you'd rather powder coat it yourself, the surface comes ready for whatever color you want to throw at it, at no extra charge.
