This Ricochet skid plate is built to take those hits so your engine and frame don't have to. It fits all XR650L models from 1992 through 2025.
What You Get
The skid plate comes ready to bolt on with custom-made hardware that's already in the box. No drilling, no tapping into your frame — the brackets and fasteners are made to fit your bike perfectly. Install takes about 15 minutes if you've got basic tools.
The Tough Stuff
This is built from 5052 H32 aircraft-grade aluminum, 0.160 inches thick. That's real material that won't buckle under impact. The mounting brackets are Chromoly steel — more than twice as strong as regular mild steel — so everything stays tight and won't rattle no matter how rough you ride.
Finish Options
It ships with a clear anodize coating that adds corrosion protection. If you want a black powder coat finish instead, we can do that for an extra $45 — just plan on waiting another 1-2 weeks for it to ship. Or if you'd rather do your own custom color, the surface comes ready for powder coat at no extra charge.
