If you're running a Kawasaki KLR650 or KLR650S between 1988 and 2026, this Ricochet skid plate is your best defense against rocks, logs, stumps, and whatever else the trail throws at your undercarriage. Without protection down there, a solid hit can mean real damage. This one covers the whole belly of your bike and bolts on without any drilling or modification.
What you get
The skid plate itself is built from 5052 H32 aircraft-grade aluminum, .160 inch thick — that's the good stuff. It comes with all the brackets and hardware you need (our own design, made to work with your bike), so installation is straightforward. If you've got SW-Motech crash guards on your bike, we've got a version that plays nice with those too.
The finish
Out of the box, it arrives with a clear anodize coating that gives it extra corrosion resistance. If you want black, we can add a durable black powder coat finish for you — just know that'll tack on about 1-2 weeks to your ship time. Or if you'd rather do your own thing, the surface comes ready for a custom powder coat at no extra cost.
