We completely redesigned this skid plate from scratch, and it's now tougher than ever. It wraps under your KLX300R to shield the engine, frame, and belly from rocks, logs, stumps, and whatever else you hit on the trail. You get full coverage protection with your choice of straight aluminum or aluminum topped with a sliding UHMW plastic layer. Everything bolts on using our custom hardware — no drilling into your bike, no hassle.

Two Material Options

Aluminum Only (SKU 266): 5052-H32 aircraft-grade aluminum, 0.160" thick, with clear anodized coating to resist corrosion.

Aluminum + UHMW Overlay (SKU 266-P): Same solid aluminum base, but we bonded a tough UHMW plastic layer on top. This gives you extra slide and shock absorption when you're taking hits.

Already Running Our Skid?

If you've got the original KLX300R skid plate and want to add that UHMW overlay without swapping the whole thing, grab the overlay-only piece (SKU 266-U). It bolts right on top of what you've got.

Hardware That Won't Let You Down

We make our brackets and fasteners from Chrome-Moly — it's more than twice as strong as regular steel. Your skid stays locked tight, won't rattle, and comes off easy if you need to service underneath.

Color Options

Want it in black instead of the standard finish? Add a black powder coat for a tougher look. If you choose the powder coat, plan on an extra 1 to 2 weeks before it ships — black is the only color available this way.
