Kawasaki KLX300 Ricochet Aluminum Skid Plate

Your KLX300's undercarriage takes a beating on rocky trails and technical terrain. Rocks, logs, and stumps can gouge aluminum and damage critical components underneath. A solid skid plate stops that from happening. We completely redesigned our KLX300 version—it's now tougher than ever, and you can add a UHMW plastic layer on top if you want extra slide and shock protection.

Material Options

• 5052-H32 Aircraft-Grade Aluminum (SKU 266). 0.160" thick with a clear anodized finish that resists corrosion. Solid protection on its own.
• Aluminum + UHMW Overlay (SKU 266-P). Same aluminum base, but we add a UHMW plastic layer on top. That plastic slides over rocks and absorbs impacts better, then the aluminum underneath keeps taking hits.

Upgrade Your Existing Skid

Already running our KLX300 skid plate? You can buy just the UHMW overlay (SKU 266-U) and bolt it over what you've got. No need to replace the whole thing.

Why Chromoly Hardware Matters

Stock fasteners are mild steel—they flex and rattle. We use Chromoly brackets that are more than twice as strong. Your skid stays locked down tight, and it comes off easy when you need to service something.

Installation

The custom mounting hardware lets you get this on in minutes. No tapping holes, no modifications to your bike.

Black Powder Coat Option

We can add a durable black powder coat finish for you before we ship it. Just know that adds 1 to 2 weeks to your delivery time, and black is the only color we offer this way. If you'd rather handle the finish yourself, the aluminum surface ships prepped and ready.
