Kawasaki KLX450R Ricochet Aluminum Skid Plate

If you're riding a Kawasaki KLX450R from 2007–2009, this skid plate bolts right on and gives your undercarriage real protection from rocks, logs, stumps, and whatever else you hit out there. It's made from solid aluminum that won't let you down, comes with everything you need to mount it, and installs without any drilling or tapping into your frame.

The kit includes the skid plate itself plus heavy-duty brackets and all the hardware needed for a clean, no-fuss install. No drilling required—it all bolts on using Ricochet's proprietary mounting system.

The Aluminum And Build

This is built from 5052 H32 aircraft-grade aluminum, the real deal for taking impacts. It's .160 inch thick, which means it's got the mass to absorb hits without cracking or denting easily. It ships with a clear anodize coating right out of the box, which gives it extra corrosion protection and keeps it looking clean.

Finish Options

If you want black powder coat instead, we can do that for you—just add it to your order. Black powder coat is tougher and lasts longer than the standard clear anodize, but if you choose it, plan on an extra 1–2 weeks for shipping while we get it coated. You can also grab it as-is and apply your own powder coat finish later if you prefer.
