This Ricochet skid plate bolts right under your Kawasaki KLX650 (1993–1996) to shield the engine and frame from rocks, logs, stumps, and whatever else you hit on the trail. Without one, you're risking real damage to expensive parts underneath. The good news: installation takes maybe 30 minutes and doesn't require any drilling into your bike.
What You're Getting
The plate itself is made from 5052 H32 aircraft-grade aluminum, .160 inch thick—solid enough to take repeated impacts without bending or cracking. It comes with Ricochet's custom mounting hardware and heavy-duty brackets. Everything bolts up using existing holes on your bike, so no modifications needed. Assembly is straightforward and shouldn't eat up your afternoon.
Right out of the box, it ships with a clear anodize coat that guards against corrosion and gives it a clean look.
Finish Options
Want something darker? You can add a black powder coat finish for a tougher appearance. Just know that if you choose this option, tack on an extra 1–2 weeks to your delivery time. It's only available in black.
If you'd rather powder coat it yourself, the surface arrives ready for that—no extra prep work on your end.
