This skid plate bolts underneath your bike to shield the engine and frame from the worst of it. Ricochet makes this one from aircraft-grade aluminum that's thick enough to actually take a hit without bending or cracking.
What You're Getting
The plate itself is cut to fit your KX65 perfectly. It comes with heavy-duty mounting brackets that bolt right on—no drilling or tapping your frame required. Installation is straightforward and takes maybe 30 minutes. Everything you need is in the box.
The Material
It's built from 5052 H32 aircraft-grade aluminum, .160 inch thick. That thickness means it'll handle impacts without warping. It ships with a clear anodize finish that adds a layer of corrosion protection on top of the aluminum itself. Made in the USA.
About Finishes
You've got two options here. You can take it as-is with the clear anodize, or add a durable black powder coat. If you want the black powder coat, that'll tack on an extra 1-2 weeks before it ships out. The surface is also prepped and ready if you'd rather do your own powder coat work down the road at no extra charge.
