Description
Want to run bigger tires and get serious clearance on your Kawasaki Teryx S? This 8 portal gear lift does both—and it keeps your drivetrain happy while doing it. The gears sit right in the hub instead of stressing your axles and transmission, which means less wear and more reliability when you're pushing hard on the trail.
What You're Getting
Everything comes assembled and ready to bolt on:
- (4) Assembled portal hub boxes with 9310 gears, seals, output shaft, gaskets, and thrust bearings
- (4) Universal hubs and precision-ground stainless steel slotted rotors with lugs
- (4) Specialized steel alloy backing plates
- (4) Steel caliper mounting plates with spacers
- (2) Steel steering arms
- Extended brake lines with parking brake and brake cable brackets
- All required hardware, including recessed castle nut socket
Why The Hub Design Matters
When you move the gear reduction into the portal hub, you're moving stress away from your transmission, diff, and prop shaft. That means fewer trips to the shop and more time actually riding. You get a 45% gear reduction that keeps your tires spinning in tough spots without working your drivetrain to death.
Materials Built to Last
The gears are cut from 9310 alloy steel and precision ground so they mesh perfectly and run cool. You've got two choices for housing—cast or USA-made 6061 billet aluminum. Both use the same quality seals and gaskets, but the billet option gets a CNC-machined finish that looks sharp. Backing plates are cut from specialized steel alloy that's actually stronger than chromoly, and they're 5/16" thick so there's no guessing whether they'll hold up.
Bearings are double-angular contact on the output and heavy-duty roller bearings holding the idler gear, so you're covered from every angle. The rotors are stainless steel and slotted to shed heat. SuperATV designed these portals with reinforced walls, proper oil flow, and sealed construction throughout—no vents, no leaks, no shortcuts.
Fitment And Tire Size
Fits 2021+ Kawasaki Teryx S and Teryx 4S. You can run up to 34" tires on stock suspension. Wheels need to be 22" or larger with no more than 5" backspacing. Your wheel center hole needs to be at least 3.25" (82.55mm), or you'll need a 1" wheel spacer.
Max tire sizes are measured at full compression and full turn. You can squeeze in slightly larger sizes with minor trimming if you're willing to accept a little rub.
