It's built from tough chromoly steel so it won't bend or break under the weight of your bike or when it takes a hit from rough ground.
What You're Getting
The kickstand shaft is made from 4130 chromoly steel. The bracket and clamp are heat-treated T1 carbon steel — roughly 10 times stronger than regular mild steel. The spring is high-tension steel that stands up to constant vibration and the daily abuse your bike takes. Total weight comes in at 1.5 lbs.
Why Chromoly Works Here
Chromoly is what they use in aircraft because it's tough but also flexible. It absorbs impacts without cracking like aluminum would. Your bike's weight and the pounding from rough terrain won't bend this kickstand. It's strong without being heavy, which means it does its job without dragging down your bike.
