Rocks, logs, stumps, and rough terrain all get between you and the frame — this plate sits underneath and absorbs the damage so your bike doesn't have to. It's a straightforward piece of protection, made from real aircraft-grade aluminum and put together right here in the USA.
What you're getting
The plate itself is 5052 H32 aircraft-grade aluminum, .160 inch thick — solid enough to actually protect something. It comes with heavy-duty brackets and all the hardware you need to bolt it on without any drilling or tapping into your frame. The whole thing mounts up without a fuss. Out of the box, it ships with a clear anodize coating that keeps the aluminum from corroding and gives it some extra life.
Finish options
You've got two directions to go. Leave it as-is with the clear coat, or add a black powder coat for $45 — just know that if you choose the black powder coat, you'll wait an extra 1-2 weeks for it to ship. If you want to powder coat it yourself down the road, the surface comes ready for that at no extra charge.
