Description
Your Polaris General's steering rack takes a real beating on the trail. Stock setups wear down fast, especially once you start running bigger rubber and tackling gnarly terrain. When that wear sets in, your steering gets loose and sloppy—and there's no quick fix. RackBoss 2.0 is built to last way longer. It uses a dual-bushing setup (what we call X24 Tech) that cuts wear down by half compared to what came on your machine. That means tight, responsive steering that stays that way, even after years of abuse.
How It Stays Tight
The secret is dual PTFE bushings—one at each end of the rack. This design handles the punishment that comes with bigger tires and serious trail work without getting mushy. You'll also get built-in grease fittings so you can flush out the grit and mud that works its way in. That kind of maintenance access isn't standard on most racks.
Two Tie Rod Choices
Solid Steel Bar Tie Rods: These are the heavy hitters. A 1" diameter solid steel bar paired with beefy ends (3/4" outer, rebuildable inner with 3/4" rod threads and 16 mm rack threads). Built for maximum strength when you're pushing through rough ground and turning fat tires through challenging terrain.
Swaged Tube Tie Rods: A lighter option that doesn't sacrifice durability. The 7/8" tubing is swaged to boost its strength. You get 16 mm inner ball sockets and 14 mm outer tie rod ends. Works great if you want solid performance without the extra weight.
What You Get
Both versions come with inner boots, a steering stop kit, misalignment bushings, tie rod studs, and all the hardware you need. Both are greasable for long-term maintenance. Patent No. 11,345,393.
