What You Get
The windshield ships ready to bolt on. It comes with a full-length bulb seal that runs the length of the frame, keeping out dust and water while sitting flush against your General's body. Heavy-duty mounting clamps are included and do double duty—they hold everything rock solid and make installation straightforward. Two adjustable vents let you crack things open partway, close them completely, or open them fully depending on what the weather's doing.
Materials and Build
SuperATV cuts this windshield to fit your General's shape exactly, so it sits tight with no rattling. The core is 1/4-inch polycarbonate, a material that's roughly 250 times more impact resistant than regular glass. That means flying rocks, branches, and trail debris won't leave you with a shattered windshield.
On top of the polycarbonate sits a hard coating called XR Optic. This proprietary layer guards against scratches and scuffs that can build up over time from wipers, dust, and general use. It also resists UV rays, so the windshield won't yellow or fade even after years of sun exposure.
Vented vs. Flip: Which One?
A vented full windshield stays in place permanently and gives you airflow control through the built-in vents. It's simpler mechanically since there are no hinges or latches to maintain. Works well with wipers and washers, and stays stable even at higher speeds. You don't get quite as much maximum airflow as a flip design, but you get steady, reliable protection you can adjust on the fly.
A flip windshield closes for full protection or swings open for that open-cab feeling. It's more versatile when conditions change rapidly, but it's also heavier and has more moving parts that need upkeep.
