3/16" Aluminum — Tough and light, deflects rocks and smaller impacts well
1/2" UHMW — Plastic that absorbs hard hits and slides over obstacles without sticking
3/16" Aluminum with 1/4" UHMW layered on top — Gets you the best of both worlds if you want maximum durability

Want a clean black finish instead of the standard look? You can add a powder coat for an extra $140. Just know that if you go this route, tack on another 1-2 weeks before your order ships out.
