How It Works

The latching system is straightforward. You've got three solid positions: fully closed for maximum wind and weather protection, a vented middle spot that lets some air through without full blast, and completely open when you want nothing in your way. The hinges come already installed, so there's no assembly hassle, and they're built tight enough that nothing rattles or shifts around even when you're beating on the trails.

The Polycarbonate Material

The windshield itself is made from polycarbonate—the same stuff that keeps people safe in all kinds of tough situations. It's significantly stronger and more impact-resistant than regular glass or acrylic, which matters when you're dealing with flying rocks, branches, and trail debris. That toughness means you can ride hard without worrying about the windshield shattering or cracking from everyday abuse.

Scratch Resistance and UV Protection

SuperATV adds their XR Optic Hard Coating to the polycarbonate surface. This coating resists scratching and scuffing so the windshield stays clear and looking good year after year. It also blocks harmful UV rays that would normally turn polycarbonate yellow and cloudy over time. A full-length bulb seal runs along the edges to block wind and water leaks while keeping the whole thing rattle-free.

Flip vs. MaxDrive Power Flip

You've got two choices here:

• Manual Flip: You open and close it by hand. Simple, no wiring needed, and it's proven reliable. The trade-off is that adjusting at speed or on steep terrain takes more effort.
• MaxDrive Power Flip: Electric motors let you adjust from your seat at the push of a button—great if weather changes mid-ride or you want hands-free control. It's heavier and costs more, and you'll need to run wiring, but it holds whatever position you set it to without drifting.
