You've got two choices here: a hard-coated scratch-resistant version that shrugs off years of punishment, or a standard polycarbonate option that still protects without the extra coating.
Scratch-Resistant Option
This one's built from 1/4" hard-coated polycarbonate and it laughs at rocks, sticks, and branches. The hard coating goes on both sides, so you get real protection against scratches and scuffs from whatever the trail throws at you. It's about 250 times tougher than glass, so basically indestructible. Pick this if you run hard terrain regularly and want your windshield to look clean for years.
Standard Polycarbonate Option
Still 1/4" thick, still unbreakable, just without the scratch-resistant hard coating. This one works great if you're a more casual rider or mostly do lighter trails. It stops all the dirt and spray from getting in the cab and handles casual use just fine.
