This full-frame skid plate set from Ricochet keeps that damage from happening. You get reinforced guards for the front A-arms, shields that cover the rear linkage, and the option to add nerf bars if you want extra protection around the sides.

What you're getting here is a complete setup — everything bolts on and covers the parts that actually get hit when you're out there pushing hard. The A-arm guards take the worst of it up front, and the rear shields keep rocks and debris from chewing up your suspension and drivetrain.

Material choices

You've got three ways to go on this:

• 3/16" Aluminum — a solid, tough option that handles impacts well
• 1/2" UHMW — this plastic composite slides right over rocks and doesn't stick or catch like metal can
• Hybrid — aluminum paired with 1/4" of UHMW, giving you strength where you need it and the slick surface where it helps most
