Description
This skid plate set bolts onto your 2010-2024 Polaris Sportsman 550 Touring, X2, SP and 2Up models to shield your frame and undercarriage from rocks, logs, and rough terrain. It's basically a suit of armor for the stuff underneath that's expensive to fix.
Year-specific SKUs: '10 = 7274F; '11-'13 = 7440F-13; '14-'16 = 7440F-15; 2017-2024 = 9298T2F
What You're Getting
The complete set includes a full frame skid plate, front and rear A-arm guards plus CV boot protection, and left and right floorboard guards. All the bolts and hardware you need to bolt it on come in the box.
Material Options
You've got two choices here:
- Straight aluminum: 3/16" 5052 H-32 — tough and proven
- Aluminum with UHMW plastic: 3/16" aluminum backed with 1/4" UHMW for extra slide-ability and noise dampening
Black Powder Coat Finish
Want it coated black instead? You can go two ways. The Visible option ($50) coats just the A-arm guards you'll actually see. The Complete option ($160) coats everything—front bash plate, A-arm guards, floorboards, and frame skids. Fair warning: adding a powder coat finish tacks on about 1-2 weeks to your ship time since it has to be done custom.
