Husqvarna XC 500 Ricochet Skid Plate

If you're running a 1984–1988 Husqvarna XC 500, you know what you've got — one of the toughest desert bikes ever made. That engine and suspension can handle anything, but your undercarriage can't. Rocks, logs, stumps, and hard ground will tear into the belly of your bike without protection. This Ricochet skid plate bolts on solid and takes the hits so your engine and frame don't have to.

The Build

This plate is cut from 5052-H32 aircraft-grade aluminum and runs 0.160" thick — that's solid enough to stop rocks and roots from reaching your motor, without adding unnecessary heft. The clear anodize coating on the aluminum keeps it from corroding and gives it a clean finish that'll last.

Those heat-treated Chrome-Moly clamps are the real deal. They grab onto your frame without any drilling or tapping into the bike. Install takes minutes, and when you need to pull it off to work on something underneath, it comes right off. No rattles, stays put while you're riding hard.

Color Options

The skid plate ships with a clear anodized finish as standard. If you want to go with black powder coat instead, add $30 and plan on an extra 1 to 2 weeks before it ships out.
