Build And Materials
The plate is made from 5052 H32 aircraft-grade aluminum, 0.160 inches thick. That's solid aluminum that'll absorb impacts without cracking. The mounting brackets are Chromoly steel—more than twice as strong as mild steel—so everything stays locked down tight without vibration or creep. The whole assembly is built tough enough to handle real off-road abuse.
About The Finish
Your skid ships with a clear anodize coating that gives extra corrosion protection. If you want black powder coat instead, Ricochet can add that for you. Black powder coat takes an extra 1-2 weeks to ship, but it looks cleaner and adds another layer of toughness. Or if you'd rather spray your own finish, the surface comes ready to coat.
