Description
Your Polaris Ranger XP 1000 deserves suspension parts that can handle real trail work. Stock A-arms limit what your machine can do, especially when you're running bigger tires or tackling rough ground. The Atlas Pro 2 Forward A-Arms swap out that weak factory hardware for something built to last, with beefier tubing and a design that lets you go further without breaking things.
Bigger Tubing, Stronger BuildThese control arms use 1.5 inch diameter tubing with 0.138 inch thick walls—that's 0.5 inches larger in diameter than what Polaris bolted on from the factory, and a quarter-inch thicker than our standard A-arm lineup. The extra material means more strength when you're bouncing over rocks and debris. SuperATV coats them with UV-resistant powder to fight rust and sun damage, and backs the whole kit with a lifetime warranty because we know they'll hold up.
Ground Clearance and Tire ClearanceThe 2 inch forward offset moves your ball joint ahead, giving you an extra 1.5 inches of ground clearance to clear stumps and rocks you'd normally have to avoid. That offset also adds length to your wheelbase, which means you can run up to 33 inch tires without having to add a lift kit. More tire size and better clearance add up to real stability on the trail.
Adjustable Camber BlocksYour kit comes with adjustable 24mm pivot blocks so you can dial in camber angle. They're pre-set to match your machine's stock setup, so if you're happy with that, you're done. If you add a lift or bigger rubber down the road, you can tweak them to keep tire wear even.
Tie Rods and Steering HardwareMost kits include a full tie rod set built from solid steel with chromoly heim ends. These are sized to work with the 2 inch offset and handle the abuse of real riding. A steering stop kit comes on every configuration to protect your front end geometry.
Ball Joint OptionsYou get three choices here. The standard route is to reuse your stock ball joints. If you want an upgrade, there are two paths: Heavy-duty ball joints made from 4340 VAR steel with zinc plating, good for double the pressure of factory parts, or Super Duty 300M joints—the strongest material on the market—which are 2.25 times tougher than stock and use a steel-on-steel design. Both styles come with accessible grease zerks for maintenance. You can also add 7/8 inch double heim joints if you're building an extreme mud or rock machine.
What's IncludedYour order comes with a 2 inch forward offset A-arm set and a steering stop kit. Depending on which SKU you pick, you may also get a tie rod kit and/or axles. Here's the breakdown:
- AA-P-RAN9-OHCHL: A-arms and steering stops
- AA-P-RAN9-OHC: A-arms, tie rod kit, axles, and steering stops
- AA-P-RAN1KOHC-001: A-arms, tie rod kit, and steering stops
- AA-P-RAN1KOHC-002: A-arms and steering stops
Want to buy ball joints with your A-arms and have them installed before shipping? SuperATV will assemble them for free—just select that option at checkout and skip the work.
