The plate itself is made from 5052 H32 aircraft-grade aluminum, .160 inch thick—solid metal that can handle real impacts. It comes with heavy-duty mounting brackets and all the hardware you need. No drilling or tapping into your bike required; everything bolts straight on. Installation is straightforward, and the whole thing comes finished with a clear anodize coat right out of the box for added corrosion resistance.
