This skid plate bolts right under your bike to shield the engine and frame from impacts that'll otherwise crack cases or bend vital parts. It's built from aircraft-grade aluminum and ships ready to go—no drilling or modifications needed.
What You Get
The kit includes a heavy-duty mounting bracket and all the hardware you need. Everything bolts on without tapping or drilling into your frame. Installation is straightforward and takes maybe 30 minutes with basic tools.
Build & Material
Ricochet makes this from 5052 H32 aircraft-grade aluminum, .160 inches thick—that's solid enough to absorb real hits without denting or cracking. It comes with a clear anodize finish right out of the box, which adds a layer of corrosion resistance and keeps the aluminum looking clean.
Finish Options
You've got two choices here:
- Stock clear anodize — ships right away, looks sharp, and protects the metal
- Black powder coat — we can apply a durable black finish for you. Heads up: this adds 1-2 weeks to your ship time and costs a bit more, but it looks really good and stands up to weather and UV
- DIY powder coat — the surface comes prepped and ready if you want to coat it yourself at home at no extra charge
