Built From Real Materials
The plate itself is 5052 H32 aircraft-grade aluminum, 0.160 inches thick—thick enough to absorb impacts without bending or cracking. The mounting brackets are chromoly steel, which means they're more than twice as strong as regular steel. That's why your skid won't rattle loose and why you can pop it off and on without hassle when you need to.
About Powder Coat Options
It ships with a clear anodized finish that protects against rust. If you want a black powder coat instead, you can add that for a tougher look—just know it'll take an extra 1-2 weeks to get to you since it has to be applied and cured. We also offer the surface pre-prepped if you want to apply your own custom powder coat at home.
