What you're getting
The kickstand shaft is 4130 chromoly steel. The bracket that clamps it down is heat-treated T1 carbon steel—that's about 10 times stronger than regular mild steel. The spring is high-tension steel that won't wear out from vibrations and constant use. The whole thing weighs 1.5 lbs and bolts on in about five minutes.
Why chromoly works here
Chromoly's the same stuff they use in aircraft because it's strong but still has some flex to it. It won't shatter under impact like cheap aluminum, and it won't bend permanently either.
